Last week I shared a note that said:
Since then, I have been having conversations with business owners who also resonate with having a micro business and it has sparked so much inside of me.
As a society, we have this false belief that more always = better. But in my experience, sometimes less is best.
Much of the overwhelm that we experience in life and business is because we have a very “macro” way of thinking.
We need to go from $0 to $100,000 per month in 3 months.
We need to pay off all of our debt in 30 days.
We need to grow our email list to 10,000 subscribers by the 2nd quarter.
But what if instead you focused on:
Going from 0 clients to 1 client
Paying an extra $25 towards your debt this month.
Getting 1 person to subscribe to your email list
What if instead of beating yourself up because your business isn’t performing like the big names in your industry, you embraced your micro business and allowed it to grow at a pace that is sustainable and enjoyable for you?
Embracing micro is more than just business. It’s also about embracing the micro moments that create our life. We get so focused on the big things like a vacation, a raise, a new home, or our next big milestone in life, that we forget that most of our life is made up of the small moments.
A morning cup of coffee
A weeknight dinner with the family
Reading a chapter in a good book
Morning snuggles
Listening to your favorite song on your commute home
2025 is the year that I am embracing “micro” in both my life and my business and I am excited to share this journey with you as well.
I’d love to connect in the comments.
